Louisville Silent Disco hosts high-energy, multi-DJ dance parties across breweries, festivals, and community venues throughout Louisville. I managed their social media and helped shape their marketing strategy for one year, transforming how they showed up online.

The opportunity

Louisville Silent Disco was running 10+ events per month across breweries, museums, and community venues. The events were a blast, but the social media didn't capture any of that energy. The account was stuck in a cycle of posting event flyers and promotional graphics with no real content strategy, no consistent brand voice, and no engagement to show for it.

They needed someone to bring structure, strategy, and creative vision to their social presence while also thinking bigger picture about how social media could actually drive ticket sales and build community.

The play

I took over Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok and rebuilt the content strategy from the ground up:


7 Got the founders comfortable on camera being authentic, goofy, and relatable — people follow people, not event flyers

7 Figured out the exact ratio of promotional content to personality-driven content

7 Doubled the posting frequency while maintaining quality and engagement

7 Introduced short-form video as a core content pillar

7 Built influencer relationships and brought in local creators to amplify reach

7 Ran targeted giveaway campaigns, including a Speed Art Museum giveaway that significantly outperformed typical engagement

7 Served as a broader marketing and business strategist, advising on event strategy and brand positioning

The results

Over the course of one year, I grew the Instagram approximately entirely by organic content and community engagement. Posting frequency doubled and engagement rate doubled right alongside it, meaning the audience wasn't just growing, they were paying more attention.


The brand evolved from "local event company that posts flyers" to a community-driven brand people wanted to follow, engage with, and tell their friends about. This role taught me a lot about bringing strategy and structure to a fast-moving, high-volume business. Managing content for 10+ events per month while simultaneously building a long-term brand presence required serious organizational skills and creative flexibility. It reinforced my belief that even the most fun, casual brands need a real strategy behind the scenes to actually grow.
